The VS Series is a complete, revolutionary compressor line that is a Smarter Solution to your Complex Needs. The efficiency
limitations of competitive variable speed drive compressors have been eliminated to establish a new standard in this
area. The flexibility of this line exceeds that of any other compressor. This means stable pressure in the plant and
maximum productivity.
Variable speed compressors can efficiently and reliably handle the varying air demand found in most plant air systems. These compressors speed up and slow down to match air supply to air demand as it fluctuates. The right variable speed compressor in the right application delivers significant energy savings and a stable, consistent air supply.
Advanced AirSmart Control System
The controller has a four line display with menus and tactile buttons for easy navigation. Two lines display operating information such as pressure, temperature, operating hours, etc. while the other two lines display advisory messages, shutdown messages, recommended part numbers and service contact information.
It is the same controller used in Gardner Denver’s variable speed VS series, but programmed for load / no load operations with fixed speed compressors.
The optional communication module allows the AirSmart™ units to talk to each other. This isn’t just an hour-balancing, on/off sequencing scheme. Our controller allows the system to truly optimize efficiency because it knows the capabilities of other machines and orchestrates their operation. The communication module also allows remote monitoring of the variable speed and fixed speed units.

Thanks to the new highly functional AirSmart control system, the new VS 11-21 range allows you to choose any delivery pressure from 3 to 10 bar or from 10 to 13 bar depending on model. The optional communication modules the AirSmart units to talk to each other. This isn't just an hour-balancing, on/off sequencing scheme. Our controller allows the system to truly optimize the efficiency because it knows the capabilties of the other compressors and orchestrates their operation. The module allows also remote monitoring of the VS and fixed speed units. This application provides better energy efficiency in part load operations.
Options include the integrated refrigerant dryer, receiver (up to 11 bar for VS 11 model), condensate handling equipment and a wide selcetion of compressor air filters. These options are available to enable you to build a complete compressor station for your needs.
Extremely wide regulation range
Superb flexibility comes as standard with the VS Series. With a wide 15 - 100 % capacity range, the VS Series features extremely quick response to air demand changes.
Low noise level operationThe sound-engineered enclosure of this range absorbs noise effectively. The packages are so quiet, that they can be installed exactly where it is needed without any special consideration for noise.It is simply a smart design with high quality parts. Quiet fan, segregated cooling air flow, plus motor and air end are isolated to prevent noise transmission.
The heart of the VS compressors is the TEMPEST integrated compressor unit with the ENDURO PLUS air end.
Service is easier than ever before
This series has an advanced automatic belt-tensioning system, which gives the optimal belt-tension in all conditions. Due to
its compact enclosure, the series requires limited floor space and the installation of the package is quick and efficient.
